Memphis (TN) – I scream, you scream, we all scream for…the 15th Annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival! Make a sweet donation to the children and families of Ronald McDonald House of Memphis while enjoying scoops of frozen ice cream delights and family fun on Saturday, September 26th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at AutoZone Park (200 Union Ave. – Downtown Memphis).
Got a serious sweet tooth? Can’t imagine life without ice cream? Enjoy a bit of brain freeze? Then bring the whole family Downtown for a day of ice cream, treats, games and entertainment as Schnucks presents the 15th Annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival. Kids will love the Children’s Activity Land, featuring a variety of games and prizes for children big and small. Hang out with Ronald McDonald, Rockey Redbird, the Secret Order of the Boll Weevils and other costumed characters. Enjoy a special performance by the Watoto de Afrika Dance Group, and get ready to be amazed by Ronald’s Magic Show. And let’s not forget about the star of the event…ICE CREAM! Treat yourself to a mouth-watering variety of delicious ice cream flavors, frozen treats and cookies and don’t miss out on the ever popular Ice Cream Feeding Contest for some truly messy fun.
As part of the 15th Annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival, Ronald McDonald House of Memphis is also proud to introduce its new community fundraising initiative, Pop-Tab-Palooza. Communities, organizations, schools, churches and social groups are encouraged to collect pop tabs from soda and beer cans, canned fruits and vegetables, soup cans and pet food cans to be recycled by Ronald McDonald House. Pop-Tab-Palooza is a great way to help children and communities understand a little more about recycling as well as help out the children and families who call Ronald McDonald House their “home-away-from-home”. Tickets to the Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival are $7 in advance and are now available at Ronald McDonald House of Memphis (535 Alabama Ave.) or pick them up at all Schnucks locations. Admission is $10 per person at the door; children ages three and under get in free. “First Come First Served” complimentary parking available at the Toyota Center (175 Toyota Center).
All proceeds from the 15th Annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival benefit the children and families of Ronald McDonald House of Memphis.
